Broadmoor Celebrates Women in Construction Week

As we celebrate Women in Construction Week, we at Broadmoor Construction take immense pride in honoring the remarkable contributions of women in our industry.

We commemorate all the hardworking women who contribute their skills, dedication, and passion to the industry. From architects to engineers, project managers, admin, and laborers, women play pivotal roles in shaping the landscapes we build and the communities we serve. Within our ranks, we are especially proud of the remarkable women who play integral roles in shaping our projects and driving our success.

As we reflect on the significance of Women in Construction Week, we are filled with gratitude for the indomitable spirit and tireless efforts of the women who shape our projects, inspire our teams, and drive innovation at every turn. We extend our deepest gratitude and admiration to all the hardworking women of Broadmoor Construction and beyond. Your contributions leave an indelible mark on our projects, communities, and hearts.

One such inspiring individual is Taylor Maise, a dedicated Project Manager at Broadmoor Construction.

Reflecting on her journey, Taylor shares, "My entire family works in construction in some aspect. Different sectors and titles, but it is a path I always knew was a strong potential. The journey has been different for each of us, which is fun to compare, but I am proud of my journey and growth here at Broadmoor.”

When asked about memorable moments on construction sites, Taylor recalls a team-building event after the Substantial Completion of Phase 3B in 2023. "A lot of our very large team was there, and we were able to relax and have a good time."

Taylor emphasizes the importance of diversity in the construction industry. "Being a woman has a portion to do with ways of thinking, but I feel the strength within that is completely based on the quality of the team and how people mesh. Diversity is normally a positive impact if the person is the right fit."

On the subject of encouraging more women to join the construction industry, Taylor is optimistic. "I don’t think the industry could be more encouraging for participation of women. The work is there, it just needs the right personality and the right person to dive in."

Taylor has been integral to several significant projects, including the Airport Buildouts and the Superdome renovations. "Two very contrasting projects budget, scheduling, logistics-wise with their own challenges, but the same satisfaction each time we finish the project," she reflects. "Completion of the multi-phased Superdome project may take the cake when the time comes."

For women navigating their way through the construction industry, Taylor offers sage advice: "Never stop asking questions and always have the desire for more."

Never stop asking questions and always have the desire for more.
