Holy Cross High School

Project Description

The Project

Broadmoor constructed the new 20-acre campus for Holy Cross High School in Gentilly, after the 150-year-old school was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.  The new campus for Holy Cross School is a monumental project  constructed on 20-acres of land in a residential neighborhood of New Orleans.  The first phase of project was the permanent construction of three multi-story rusticated masonry classroom and administration buildings, six-feet above grade.  The facilities all house state of the art technology, while maintaining a traditional aesthetic, paying tribute to the previous campus.

The final phase of the project was a 93,000 square foot Student Center, catering to all sports and extracurricular activities needed.  The facility was designed to emulate the classical style of the traditional campus buildings while providing the latest in student assembly and sports venue amenities.

The project was designed to provide the student body with an environment that encourages a higher level of achievement and a well rounded educational experience.
